OPEN FOR THE SEASON!
We established Parrish Pumpkin Patch in 2009 and re-established Parrish View Farms in 2020. Jeff & Liz will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in June, 2022. As the Parrish children have become more and more involved with the family businesses, the Parrishes decided in 2020 to bring back the farm name that Jeff’s grandmother Pauline (who originally lived in the brick house on the property) coined back in the late 50’s. According to Jeff’s parents, Pauline said one evening at sunset on her walk back from the dairy’s concrete milking house where the Fancy Barn now stands, “it’s such a beautiful view, why don’t we name the dairy/farm Parrish Vu?” We hope Pauline ("Bebe") would be proud!
Cary, Eli, Wayne, Jeff
(Wayne’s dad, Joe Cephas, lived on and farmed Parrish View)
Joan & Wayne are involved with all things PVF. They owned & operated a dairy on the farm location of Parrish Pumpkin Patch & founded Parrish Trucking Company, which will celebrate 50 years of business in 2022.
Construction on The Fancy Barn, named for the beautiful frame style (look it up!) began in Summer 2019. The majority of the materials used to build it, have been sourced from Parrish View Farms, including all the pine wood, the weatherboarding on the exterior/interior from a cousin’s old stable, & the rusty tin from tobacco barns.
The tobacco (log) barn that displays Eli’s American flag made as a college project in 2015, was deconstructed by each log by the Parrish family in the Summer of 2010, and moved from Hatchett farm in Kenbridge, to where it was rebuilt and stands today.
